International project A.S.A.L. - Advanced Skills for Active Living aims to support the training and development of sport and physical activity professionals to learn about mental health issues.  The project  builds on previous projects M.E.N.S. and E.V.E.N.T.S. that  have focused on the positive effects of sport and physical activities on mental health. Within the period of 18 months new training program will be created for professionals in the field of sports and physical activities. This course will tested and evaluated in a pilot program for the first group of trainees. Later it will be offered as regular curriculum at the relevant educational institutions.

The project is implemented in the period 1.1.2019 - 30.6.2020 and is co-financed by the EU program Erasmus +. The partners are organizations from 5 European countries - Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Spain, Belgium. The main coordinator is the Greek organization K.S.D.E.O. "EDRA". With regard to emergency measures related to the COVID 19 pandemic, the project was extended by 6 months until 31.12.2020.
